This is my all-time favorite recipe everrrrr. EVER.
I have made it so many times since I went vegan, it’s not even funny. Also, it is such a crowd-pleaser! Everyone loves it… even non-vegans! GASP!
Sometimes I make these bad boys as a snack, meal, or I bring them to the movies to eat instead of popcorn. I love how it’s both crunchy and moist, not to mention how it has a kick of spice from the cayenne.
I hope you love them as much as I do. Let me know how they are!

Ingredients
- 15 oz can of chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Drain chickpea can and rinse thoroughly in a strainer until you no longer see bubbles foaming up.
- Shake off as much water as possible from the chickpeas in the strainer.
- Place the chickpeas in a small mixing bowl and mix with olive oil.
- Mix in the remaining seasonings until evenly combined.
- Transfer the chickpeas to a baking sheet and place in the oven for 11 min.
- Take out and mix up the chickpeas.
- Place back in the oven for 8 min more.
- Let cool for 3 minutes, or until chickpeas have slightly hardened.
- Enjoy at the movies or as a snack!
Notes
*If taking these to go, don’t keep them in a sealed container for too long as they will get re-moist and lose their stiffness.
*Play with the cooking time to get these to the exact crunch to moisture ratio you enjoy!
